COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION
January 5, 2012
Dear (ME),
On behalf of the Community Corrections Improvement Association, and Each One Reach One AmeriCorps, it is with great appreciation that I write to thank you for your generous contribution of talent to the 2012 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Event in Iowa City, IA. Your wonderful hand drawn portrait of Dr. King has been chosen as this year's winning piece of art. The drawing will be used to help market the event, and will be included on all official marketing tools including posters, flyers, and t-shirts.
Our Event this year hopes to engage over 500 community members including people with disabilities and their families. The scope of this program is to give at-risk neighborhood youth a platform to showcase their talents and honor the message f unity that Dr. Martin Luther King expressed his work.
Thank-you for taking the time to create a wonderful and memorable piece of art that can be used across mediums to spread the word about our 2012 MLK Day Program. We are truly grateful for your contribution to our event and we hope to see you at the event on Monday, January 16th, 2012 from 12-4pm at "The Spot" - 1030 Crosspark Ave in Iowa City.
In Service,
Monica Gilkison, MSW
AmeriCorps Program Coordinator
